“We are happy to be part of this community event that will feature 750 American flags honoring members of the military, police, firefighters, teachers, coaches, mentors and community leaders at Bohrer Park at Summit Hall Farm”.
Jud Ashman“I’m glad Rotary held this celebration in Gaithersburg. My son is buried in Arlington National Cemetery. It’s difficult for me, at my age, to get there; I can remember my son right here.”
“The Montgomery Village Rotary Club provided a grant to our microfinance NGO in Uganda to purchase a motorcycle. The motorcycle allowed our two field agents to greatly expand the area that they could cover and meet with more famers. This doubled the impact of our field agents because they could travel separately.
We were able to double the farmers that we could serve in a growing season from 250 to 500. It also enabled our field agents to visit our farmers twice as often during the growing season. What seemed like a small USD investment of $2,520 had a big impact on a growing microfinance non-government org. in Uganda. Thank you to Montgomery Village Rotary Club for supporting us to help smallholder farmers economically raise up their families and their communities.”
